One of the reasons these courts became a reality is the generosity of the Weirton Rotary Club, which donated $50,000 toward the approximately $75,000 project. Many longtime Weirton residents will remember this location as the former Marland Heights swimming pool. Today, the area has been transformed into a modern recreation destination for the community.
